Looking for Top Shelf Camera gear in Denton?
In an effort to provide UNT Photography and TWU Photography students and Denton’s artistic photographers with a good source of camera gear, I now sell gear that I have had or that I find in good to very good working condition. I also rent top-of-the-line gear.
Any purchase of gear comes with a two-hour lesson of your choosing! The topics are wide and diverse, and you can even make up your own list of those questions you have that are not getting answered in school, and believe me, you should have a ton of those questions!
Images of Camera Gear are coming soon, but here is a list of cameras for sale in Denton, Texas, now:
- NIKON F5 – The last great 35-mm camera body made by Nikon Japan
- NIKON F5 – The best backup to an F5 Nikon? Another F5 Nikon
- Hasselblad 503 Motorized EL/M with 45-degree finder of course! Think SQUARE! Polaroid Back! Also several A-12 and a couple A-24 backs
- Nikon D200 – Early digital Nikon Body DX Format Sensor
- Reloadable 35MM film cartridges – many dozens of these
- Processing Tanks and Reels – 35MM and 2-1/4
- 4X5 Film Backs – many of these as well
For the most part, you will have to be savvy enough to figure out how to power these cameras – ON YOUR OWN! As students of the 21st. Century, I bet your crack online research will help you find power in a few clicks.

*A UNT or TWU “adjunct” is not truly a professor. An adjunct is hired on a semester contract basis, with the minimum requirement, currently, of having a master’s degree. IN GENERAL: Experience is not a requisite. We used to call adjuncts, “ta’s” because that is what they were – a teacher’s assistant. Your 21st. Century university world consists mainly of people who covet their jobs, have no tenure, and are judged not on your success, but on their own success. Many have never set foot in the real worlds of professional photography, commercial printing or non-university gallery hangings. See anything wrong with that picture? Don’t believe me? Just ask them.
